The beer is crystal clear with a golden copper hue and is exceptionally dry, resembling a true West Coast-style IPA. Barebottle Brewery utilized approximately 2.8 pounds of hops per barrel for this specific beer, a significant increase from that of most IPAs, hence resulting in “epic proportions.” The flavor profile includes bold citrus and fruit flavors and hints of pine aromatics. These specific hops are all prized American hops, exclusively grown in the Pacific Northwest. “At EPIC Steak, we’re committed to supporting local businesses, as well as continually providing our guests with new and exciting offerings to make their dining experience exceptional.”ĮPIC Proportions is made with late-addition, dry hops, including Citra, Amarillo, Centennial, and Simcoe, to create a robust hop flavor without the bitterness typical of most IPAs. “We’re thrilled to debut EPIC Steak’s very own beer, and to have partnered with Barebottle in creating an IPA that pairs particularly well with our food menu,” says Pete Sittnick, managing partner for the steakhouse. EPIC Steak’s Bar Manager, Nick Henry and his team, curated the partnership with popular San Francisco-based Barebottle Brewery to create EPIC Proportions, which is now available for $7 on draft on the restaurant’s menu and upstairs at Quiver Bar. EPIC Steak, San Francisco’s waterfront steakhouse located on the scenic Embarcadero, announced the restaurant’s new proprietary beer, EPIC Proportions, an approachable IPA to pair with Executive Chef Parke Ulrich’s acclaimed cuisine.
